A more robust version of the Character Pack for the Pixel Grit Series. This Expanded Supporter Pack includes Guards and Warrior sprites, each with 12 different animated states (See GIFs below for examples of each state).
UPDATE #2: A large addition to the pack here! More variants of Warriors, and now Rogues and Mages too, with a bunch of magical effects to get you started!
UPDATE #1: The Heavy Knight has joined the fray!
Included in the Download:
- 14 Citizen Variations
- (I included combat animation states for them too, in case you want to give your citizens weapons)
- Guards (Spearman, Archer, Sword & Shield Fighter)
- Warriors (Two-Handed Swordsman, Archer, Sword & Shield Fighter, Axe Warrior, Skullcap Warrior, Caped Warrior)
- Mages (Red Female Mage, Hooded Made, Old Grey Male Mage)
- 11 Spellcasting Effect, each with 3 levels of intensity
- 5 Elemental Effects (some with extra variants)
- Each Character has 12 Animation State, each with 4 directions (N,E,S,W)

Any ideas for other assets ( monsters / daemons etc ) that would fit well your art style ? ( I mean did you create some or do you know some assets on Itch that you think matches well your art ? ) Just asking in case before digging for hours into Itch 😅
I have a few more monsters in the pipeline (a Demon and Vampire).
But the next three in the release schedule is a Natural Caverns Tileset, World Map (overworld) Tileset, Deep Forest Tileset.
As for other assets from other creators, I'm not sure. I use the Pico-8 color palette, so searching for that might be the best way to go if you are looking for assets that match my style.

Hi, great work! I bought your bundle and noticed there is not a separate arrow sprite included in any of the packs. Is it possible you are able to provide one so I can have the characters actually shoot out arrows? There is also no projectile for the goblin slinger in the creatures pack. Thank you very much

You are missing a Wizard who shoots spells. Could you complete the defenders with one?

So far the development plan for the animated sprites in this Retro RPG Series includes (in order): Animal/Critter Pack, a free Heavy/Dark Knight Update to this Citizens Pack, Monster Pack(which will also include several free updates), followed by several Bosses, one of which will be a Dragon. My Patrons help decide the content! :)

Yup! It will be coming to itch soon! Released the first four critters on Patreon for now (wolf, bear, beatle, snake). Adding a few more (rat, bat, spider), and then bring all over to itch! Sorry for the delay! :)
