Platformer Tileset: Pinefields
About the Tileset
Welcome to Pinefields! The start of a series of flexible tilesets for your side-scrolling platformer games. There will be three more in this series! So check back again soon!
The tileset's two layers, the main-ground and mid-ground, are each composed of 47 tiles, plus extra terrain pieces such as slopes and alternate variations, to allow you to create a wide variety of level layouts.
Included in the Download:
- Large Example Image of each theme
- Three colour themes for the tileset
- PNG's of backgrounds for each theme (distant lands x2, clouds, sky)
- Easy to read tilesheets with a tilesheet definition Image
- A Folder for each theme of individual sprites for each tile asset
- Metadata file (TXT)
Combine it with Ancient Ruins Tileset!: Check out the next tileset in the series, Ancient Ruins, and combine them together!
UPDATE #1: Added an alternate (more detailed) version of the distant fields plus a NEW third close-up distant field layer for all three colour themes! Image is up on the side!

do you think you could add zip or 7z archives for this project and ancient ruins? rar programs don’t work on all operating systems, even now. thanks!

Hey. I am realy interesting to make a game out of your tilsets the art is amazing u dont see art like this common. the only queston i have is: Will in it in the future be a DESERT, SNOW, LAVA Bioms?? Becouse im planing to make a long adventure game and am curently looking for what tiles to buy for my game. :))
Hi, glad you like the tile sets! And yes, I have another 4 tilesets planned to expand this series and they include the biomes you mentioned plus a Dark Forest biome :)
It will take some time to get them out, as there are a few other things in the pipeline ahead of those, but its definitely on the horizon!
